Trick Powerboats are built using the sandwich construction method while employing Nida-Core H8PP and Divinycell H-80 as the primary core materials, totally eliminating wood from the construction process.
Trick Powerboats get full structural laminations with biaxial glasses. The strakes, chines, keels, steps and vertical tunnel walls are reinforced with extra layers of glass. The strakes are filled and "skinned" to create a flat inner surface for the bedding of core materials . The core material is precut using templates, to insure proper fit and vacuum bedded in specific locations. The transom is installed using multiple alternating layers of biaxial glass and "Blue Water" Coosa board. Bulkheads and transom knees are cut fit and glassed into place, The fuel tanks are foamed into place and finally the deck is set, fit and glassed around the entire perimeter, effectively creating a one piece boat of superior strength.
